Naramata, British Columbia
Sunsets here are truly amazing and the sage brush on the hills absorb so many beautiful colours. As the sun dips behind the mountains the dry heat dissipates. Air becomes sweeter and all breathe a sigh. Crickets begin the evening ambience and then the stars appear. Oh the starlight… and so many bright clusters. They entirely fill the western skies with their brilliance. Here I am wild at heart and right at home with stars that shine above and twinkle below on the waves of “Naramatta” – smile of the Manitou.

Wilderness Expressions is a series of acrylic paintings created on black gessoed gallery wood panels. There are 10 paintings 24x24x2″ in this starry sky painting collection for those who love stars. This art work by Canadian artist and designer Tina Monod takes viewers and collectors into some of the more hidden and remote adventure trails, lakes and oceans on the west coast of British Columbia. Views from the Okanagan Valley with familiar wide open spaces and the majestic mountains of Banff and Jasper, Alberta complete this adventure. All are precious gems in the landscape of Canada for us to protect, explore and enjoy.
