Artist Bio

Tina Monod is a visual artist with a BFA Hons from U Vic. Freelancing in animation, illustration and design came along and in her spare time she worked on her art. She has enjoyed painting large murals and life size portrait commissions. Her career has been a blend of art and design. Tina created glass sculptures for several years, with art exhibitions in Seattle and Vancouver, BC. She attended the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, WA and graduated with a Diploma in Advanced Internet Development and Design at Bodwell College in Vancouver. She was awarded with Creative Excellence.

Living in Ontario has brought Tina closer to carving out creative time and creating a studio space. She has painted all her life and now executes her work rapidly, often painting 3 canvases at a time for fluidity of style. Monod has served on the Executive for the B.C. Glass Arts Association and has been involved in many educational capacities with Opus Art Supplies artist workshops, W Network (WTV) television series “Creathers”, ceramics at the Gardiner Museum, art instruction at Whitby Station Gallery and the Whitby Abilities Centre “Thrive” Fine Arts program. Building art and community is the sum of her experiences.
