This year I listened to those of you who felt there was not enough room on your walls for collecting more art and many of you loyal fans were interested more so in a print than an original painting. Here’s a great way to purchase and enjoy several small prints and all in one small set with a new painting each month. Some of these pieces were juried into some very special art exhibitions, events and art galleries this year with noteworthy artists and Canadian artist associations. It has been an honour to share my art and it is my pleasure to offer this calendar valued at just $24.95 plus HST.
It was not easy narrowing the most popular paintings from the past year as there have been so many. As you know, a beautiful space begins from the ground up and ends with noteworthy art on the walls, to enhance and compliment every home and office decor. Like the great outdoors my art is vibrant in nature, boldly beautiful.
Following Destiny is a painting about reconnecting with trails and memories, which actually all flow from the Bow Glacier. When we are young and starting off in the world, our impressions of nature grow with daily understandings of the elements. Their collective forces challenge and shape us. We wholeheartedly invite these challenges and continually test each boundary.
It is nice to stroll along the Bow River Trail planning hikes, sharing thoughts or just breathing in the solitude. This area unfolds with many beautiful transformations of the seasons.
In these moments of recognition, I find John Muir’s words of wisdom inspiring. “Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
Sentimental Journeys is a collection of alpine landscapes painted with acrylics on to gallery wrapped canvas. Paintings are 24×24″ and 36×36″ with a depth of 1.5″ and a granite gray painted edge, ready for hanging. These paintings explore trails, both nostalgic and new. Their locations will forever be sentimental and special. This landscape series by Canadian artist and designer Tina Monod is about the beauty close and far, near and within Banff National Park and surrounding areas.
